Suggest Data Changes

Product Update!

We’re excited to introduce a powerful new collaboration feature. Many of you asked for a way to suggest updates to location data—while still keeping location owners in control. That’s why we’ve launched suggestions: a simple way for users to propose precise edits, which are then sent to the location owner for review. Until the owner approves, the data on LogBook remains unchanged. Accepting a suggestion is now just a click away, making collaboration smoother than ever.

This new feature makes it simple to - collectively - increase the data quality for everyone involved. We all know how busy the days can be, unfortunately, that often leads to prioritizing other things than data quality improvements. With suggestions it is now a very small effort for all parties involved, the person that finds information that needs change only has to press a button and adapt the value, the location owner has a simple view on the suggested changes (before and after comparison) and can choose between accepting, rejecting, or modifying and then accepting the change.

What used to take a longer time, sending multiple emails or calling people, filling tickets or forms, is now done in a few clicks. With that, we hope to help increase data quality.

The current implementation allows the users to suggest changes to any location they can see. We are currently working on implementing AI suggestions, i.e. suggestions that our AI bots will make to location owners based on web research. By using AI to repeatedly (and regularly) consult external public sources, we hope to make another step in the direction of higher data quality and with that further savings for our customers.
